Saomao designs and makes all its own garments using mostly silk but some other natural textiles are used. Saomao employs tailors that have successfully completed a tailoring course sponsored by a French NGO in Siem Reap. Women who are selected for the course have come from the surrounding village areas. Empowered women have more opportunities and a greater voice in Cambodian society.
